Case Management Orders

Case Management Orders

We are authorised to conduct litigation on behalf of our clients. This allows us to manage your case on your behalf, liaising directly with the Employment Tribunal and the opposition.

This can reduce the stress claimants often feel when having to manage the case themselves and correspond directly with the Employment Tribunal and the opposition and/or its/their lawyers.

The Employment Tribunal will issue a series of Case Management Orders, often shortly after your case has been issued, or at a Preliminary Hearing, to ensure that your case is properly managed and prepared for a Final Hearing.

If instructed to assist with case management, we will ensure that all Case Management Orders are complied with and on time. This is important as a failure to comply with a Case Management Order(s) can be a serious matter and, in some situations, may result in your opponent making an application to strike out your case.

Typical Case Management Orders concern disclosure of documents, preparation of a bundle of documents for the Final Hearing, and preparation of witness statements.

Having an experienced barrister assist with case management is crucially important, particularly in more complex cases.

Your opponent may seek to control disclosure of documents and the content of the bundle of documents for the Final Hearing to gain a tactical advantage. An experienced barrister will be able to ensure that the disclosure process is followed properly, involving the Employment Tribunal if necessary, and thereby ensuring that you have access to any key evidential documents which will support your case at a Final Hearing.

We can assist with all types of Case Management Orders.
