Lidl enters into section 23 agreement to protect staff from sexual harassment

Lidl Great Britain Ltd has signed a legal agreement with the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) (known as a section 23 agreement, as the power is derived from section 23 of the Equality Act 2006) to prevent sexual harassment at the workplace. The agreement was signed in response to an employment tribunal judgment (in Hunter v Lidl Great Britain Limited ET Case No: 3320536/2021) holding that Lidl failed to take all reasonable steps to prevent the sexual harassment of a young female employee between March 2019 (shortly after she started employment) and July 2021.
