In Lutz v (1) Ryanair DAC (2) Storm Global/MCG Aviation [2025] EWCA Civ 849, the Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the EAT that a pilot contracted to work for Ryanair through an agency was a worker employed by the agency (and not Ryanair), and that the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 protections apply even if there was a fixed term of relatively long duration (in this case five years).
